DadNews Daily – Put Down The Cellphone

People are dumb.

Two nitwits who were trying to break the text messaging record got hit with a bill for $26,000. For text messages. Which are typically a few cents each. The two nudniks, Nick Andes, 29, and Doug Klinger, 30, thought they had unlimited texting plans. Why? Because the phone “came in a box that cost $27.55 to send to me.” Well that’s how I make my decisions! Apparently T-Mobile gave them a credit pending an investigation. I think they should have to pay it. But I’m cranky.

Connecticut wants to ban smoking in casinos. Specifically Foxwoods. Problem is, that’s a Native American reservation. So they kinda can’t do that.

A tribe in New Guinea is suing The New Yorker magazine for $10 million, claiming that a story they wrote just ain’t true.

And oh yeah – the Slumdog Millionaire dad who supposedly tried to sell his daughter? He didn’t. What the hell?
