A New Twist on Bubbles [Toys]

Super Miracle Bubbles Premium Plus Laser Bubble Blaster

Bubbles are fun. Kids love bubbles, dad loves bubbles — well, this one does. If you’re bored with the same ol’ plastic wand and sick of cheap bottles that spill everywhere, Imperial Toys has a new twist on bubbles.

The company was kind enough to send us a few samples to try out. We’re fans. Here’s what we… I mean the kids… played with.

Super Miracle Bubbles Premium Plus Laser Bubble Blaster

The Good: With a name like that, how can it be anything but awesome? Here’s how — if it were cheaply made and didn’t work as advertised. Luckily this is a rare inexpensive toy that is both well-made and works the way you think it should. It doesn’t look anything like a real gun, which will keep the pacifists in your family from staging a sit-in on your lawn. Lights! Sounds! Continuous Stream of Bubbles!

The Bad: Nothing really. Setup is more complicated than “open bottle, insert wand, remove wand, blow bubbles” — you need to install 4 AA batteries (not included, but I’m used to that by now) and screw in a bottle of bubbles (included, which is awesome). You may not want to give it back to your kids. But you should. I did. Eventually.

How Much: $14.99 at Toys R Us [buy]

The Good: It’s really cute. It looks like gardening equipment, sort of. And it’s big enough so that a little kid looks funny using it.

The Bad: Seems to be hard to find. Amazon only has a few in stock and the price is a bit steep. Might want to wait for a sale or check your local Wal-mart or Toys R Us.

How Much: $35.56 at Amazon [buy]

The Good: You know how I said you might be bored with the same ol’ bubble wand? With 27 wands, that’s not going to happen. Heck, Harry Potter only has one wand. Ha! Take that, Harry Potter! (Sorry. We need help.)

The Bad: The package is a little hard to open and you might cut your hand if you aren’t careful. But, you know, wah. Poor you. First world problems.

How Much: $5.99 at K-Mart [buy]

Let me put on my cheeseball pitchman hat for a moment. (It’s not a hat, it’s more like a Shamwow.)

Love bubbles but hate the mess? You need SMB Premium Plus Spill Stopper Bubbles from Imperial Toy! The patented no-spill top means less mess — and more fun!

OK, I’m back. These are nicely designed and help keep your kid from spilling sticky bubble stuff all over the place. And while these are Premium Bubbles, they’re still bubbles, which means stickiness when spilling occurs. Includes a wand.

How Much: Available at Wal-mart, prices vary [buy]

Bonus DaddyTip: save the no-spill bottles and refill them with regular 8 ounce bottles of Miracle Bubbles, which Amazon has for $2.44 as of this writing [buy].

Disclaimer: all prices are correct as of this writing and may change at any time. Images and samples supplied by the manufacturer. We take no responsibility if you get soap in your eye and it really really stings. Be careful out there.

    I DON’T KNOW HOW YOU GOT YOUR Super Miracle Bubbles Premium Plus Laser Bubble Blaster TO WORK. MINE WAS WORKING BUT THEN IT STOPPED. I CAN HEAR THE MOTOR AND FEEL THE AIR, BUT NO BUBBLES. YOU SHOULD TEST THE PRODUCTS LONGER. YOU KNOW . . . UNTIL THEY STO WORKING WHICH WON’T BE LONG LOL {^;^}
