All the M*A*S*H for 60 Bucks

Amazon Deal that ends tonight, so move fast if you want it — get all the M*A*S*H for 60 bucks.

Technically the price is $59.99. But there might be tax which would make it more. So let’s say 60 bucks, for which you receive 34 DVDs. Not bad, right?

Just to make things interesting, here’s a personal M*A*S*H story. Because we used to watch whatever was on TV, I watched a fair amount of M*A*S*H, even when I was too young to fully appreciate it. This was extremely true when I saw an episode in which Klinger has some sort of nightmare. That’s all I remember — other than the fact that I was scared out of my mind. I’m fairly certain it gave me nightmares, and TV generally doesn’t do that.

Obviously M*A*S*H is one of the all-time great television shows, true classic tv, and the movie it’s based on is worth seeing as well. So go ahead and buy this uber-collection. But do it today because Amazon says it goes bye-bye tomorrow.

Watch Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths for Free

Apparently you can watch the animated Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths for free on CWSeed.com. It’s on The Flash’s official twitter account, so it must be true.

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths

Check it:

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this, although I can’t say for certain, which isn’t a great sign. Although it’s also a sign of aging. In other words, don’t take the fact that I can’t remember seeing something as a sign that it’s no good.

Actually, now that I look at the Wikipedia page for this direct-to-DVD DC animated universe superhero movie, I’m more confident that I’ve seen it. The writer is the late Dwayne McDuffie, who was extremely talented and died much too young. As I recall, I liked it, just not as much as I liked Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, both of which McDuffie worked on and are among my favorite cartoons, along with Static Shock, which I really hope they release on DVD because it’s so damn good and why the hell hasn’t this happened yet?

Anyway, free stuff you can watch legitimately. Go figure. (Kidding.) Here’s the link. Enjoy.

All 7 X-Men Movies For Only $31.98 – Time-Limited DaddyDeal

Not going to say much about this because you don’t have much time to buy it if you want it. Here’s the DaddyDeal from Amazonall 7 X-men movies for only $31.98. Free shipping. Deal expires November 15 just before midnight. Your mileage may vary. Disclaimer disclaimer disclaimer.

Amazon.com: X-Men: Days of Future Past and Wolverine Collection [Blu-ray]: Movies & TV

According to a commenter, the X-Men: Days of Future Past and Wolverine Collection [Blu-ray] is “missing almost all the special features of every movie. They basically took all the old movies that have 2 discs and only put the first disc in this collection so the special features disc for all the movies is missing. It even says disc one on some of the movies. So basically you get just the movie and that’s it.” (Note that according to the description, you do get special features on X-Men: Days of Future Past.) However, another commenter points out how good a deal this is: “At less than $5 per movie, what do you expect? Rent digital once, or own on Bluray – easy choice. As many have said, lots of people never watch the extras anyway … great deal.”

That’s where I come down on the issue (if issue there be). Getting all of the X-movies for such a low price is a great deal. I bought it. You should buy it before the price goes back up. Which is kinda soon. So do it already!

Superhero Animation On Demand

As promised, here is a list of Superhero Animation that you can watch on demand. Some notes/comments/caveats:

DaddyTips Featured Video

– Most recent update: April 30, 2013

– All are available via Netflix unless otherwise indicated.

– Titles listed may suddenly become unavailable… or even better, new titles may show up. Such as Batman Beyond and Justice League which are now on Netflix. The greatness of this fact cannot be overstated.

– This page may be updated when new shows are added. I’m also going to make a different page for live action superhero programming. Because I’m cool like that. And I have a Geek Gold Card.

– This may shock some of you, but I have something to say about every single one of these shows. Therefore I will write posts for each entry as time permits. Check back for updates.

Without further ado, here is the list. If you know of anything I missed, leave a comment or contact me directly. This is important stuff, folks. Read more »

How YouTube Helped Me Get My LOTR Digital Copy

LOTR Blu-Ray Extended Edition

Gather ’round, gentle readers. I am here to present to you the tale of how YouTube helped me get the Digital Copy of LOTR (Lord of the Rings, ‘natch) before the codes expired.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — thank goodness that there are people with time on their hands who like to post videos to YouTube. Usually when I say that I’m referring to folks who take the time to post scenes from old TV shows online. When I’m researching articles for Snakkle, these folks are invaluable.

This time I’m grateful that a YouTuber using the handle Blucollection posted this video of his unboxing of the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Blu-Ray box set. Read more »
